The last to know

It’s rather ironic that the celebrations on the occasion of me getting my life back prevented me from hearing anything about this until about half an hour ago.

My question is why do the news reports all seem to be so concerned about how humiliating all this is for poor ol’ Saddam? Perhaps they would have preferred him to go out in a blaze of glory and a hail of gunfire, and then their heartfelt eulogies for one of the Middle East’s greatest leaders would tell us all how they really feel.

  1. I found out two hours after arriving at the Los Angeles International airport. Not when I woke up, not via radio on the way to DFW, not in DFW Airport itself, and not on the 3.5 hour fly to LA.

    Preach it.
