… the premiere of Return of the King was just a few hours ago in Wellington, New Zealand. The good news is that director Peter Jackson is pleased with it. The really terrible news is that I still have to wait another 17 days before I get to see it.

Nope. With preparations for a wedding on the 21st in full swing, I’ll count myself fortunate if I manage to see it on opening night. I don’t think I could subject myself to that amount of time in a theater in the company of people who live in windowless basements anyway.
I think Lord of the Rings III is the geatest movie. it doesn’t happen very often when a screen version of a book is as powerful as the book itself… It’s more than words can say, and it deserves the best of awards.
ah, but are you going to watch all 3 in a row in the theater?
I am looking forward to seeing the denizens of the nerd kingdom come crawling out of their windowless basements.
