Doc’s got a bunch of links to pictures of auroras (aurorae?) that were sparked off by this week’s solar storm. I heard that it was visible all the way down in Houston, but unfortunately I didn’t see anything. Anyone from around here (Dallas area) have better luck?
Andrew McGuckin has posted his latest artwork. I think he needs to take a shot at replicating this cool picture from PixelPile. (And Reid- can PixelPile maybe get an RSS feed?)
Several people have linked to Extreme Pumpkins. Power tools. Fire. Pumpkins. Cool.
I’ve debated about an RSS feed. But [1] it somehow seems contradictory to the purpose of RSS, and [2] since it’s a visual element, I kind of like that I can control the context … you gotta come see it at my site.
I’m not sure that all generated content should go into an RSS feed. At some point you have to wonder, aren’t web sites supposed to do more than just offer up all their content as RSS feeds, so no one ever has to acutally visit the site?
Oops. I now realize you were talking about an RSS feed for PixelPile.org, not the “Pixel Pile” on my personal web site. Pixelpile.org is run by Greymatter, so an RSS feed isn’t “built in.” I hope to convert it to MT in the next few months, so it will probably happen then.
