Auto show in motion

Tomorrow’s going to be quite a fun day. In the afternoon, I’m going to this. It might well be the only time I’ll ever have the opportunity to drive a brand new Corvette. I’m hoping that there won’t be so many people that that doesn’t work out, but I guess I’ll be okay if I have to settle for driving a Cadillac CTS or perhaps a Saab 9-3 Convertible instead. I will be taking my camera along too, so perhaps I’ll eventually have some artsy black and white car pictures to add to the list of pictures that are already waiting for their own section on this site.

In the evening, we’re going to see the Dallas Symphony play Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4 “Italian,” Berlioz’s “Harold in Italy,” and Berlioz’s “Roman Carnival Overture” at the Morton Myerson Symphony Hall, a venue that I’ve wanted to patronize since I visited it during a Fine Arts field trip a few years back.

Tomorrow’s activities should more than make up for reduced academic output this weekend. (Cue derisive laughter from those who know what my usual academic output on a weekend is these days.)

  1. Have fun! It sounds like it’s going to be a spectacular weekend :-)

  2. I’m curious to know how you can reduce something that is already nonexistent.

  3. Give me a break- it’s not quite non-existent.
