It might just be my imagination, but I’m pretty sure Jules is noisier than he used to be. Apparently, the strain of not being driven for a couple of weeks was too much for the exhaust, which seems to have developed a leak somewhere. Not that I’ve cooked myself on the Texas-heated blacktop to check it out yet- I’m just going with what the increased volume, vibration and fart noises from the general direction of the muffler are obviously hinting at.
So let’s see, any winners?

Unfortunately, since nobody actually put any money where their mouths were, I don’t win either. And I’m stuck with a muffler that doesn’t. And it’s going to stay that way for the time being, because frankly, I’ve spent enough on that car lately.

Yeah, it has an odd habit of doing that every once in a while. I looked outside tonight and the moon is blue. Maybe that has something to do with it.
So he’s a little noisy. At least he’s running…for the moment.
