Jacked

Wow! Why is Dunny posting at 6:30 in the freaking morning? Is it because he felt like getting up early to watch the glorious sunrise? No! It’s because he was woken up by campus security at 5:00 with the news that some glue-sniffing asshole smashed a window and jacked his car stereo. Fabulous way to start the day, dahling.

The irritating thing is that my car takes approximately 20 seconds to break into with a slim jim, so I’ve now got to deal with replacing a window because the thieving bastard was too lazy to do a decent job of breaking and entering. It’s strange, right now I’m more upset about the broken window than the missing stereo. I am bitter about losing the CD that was in the stereo- This Beautiful Mess by Sixpence None the Richer. As for the stereo itself, shit happens, I guess. Also, part of it is that it happened to Jules, and he’s given me enough trouble that I just don’t really care any more. If I was still driving Blanche, it would be a totally different story. As it is, I’m less upset than you’d think. However, that’s not to say in the least that I’m not pissed at the classless mofo who did it. If I happened to run into him on the street, I think I’d be content with breaking his kneecap. I can’t speak for the other guy whose (considerably nicer) car was quite thoroughly trashed, or for Sam, who only lost an out-of-date checkbook. Hopefully the moron will be stupid enough to try and use it.

UPDATE: The window’s gonna cost $200 to fix. This in addition to the $140 I spent yesterday getting two new tires, and the $50 I need to spend on getting the front alignment fixed. It never rains but it pours. The stereo’s not happening any time soon, which sucks because I hate driving without music. Shaft. At least the prick didn’t take the CDs on my sun visor.
