I finally got the miscreant Jules running again. Fortunately, the problem seems to have been a bad connection at the battery; cleaning the contacts with some Coke and wadding them out with tin foil to make a better connection seems to have done the trick. He got me to church and back, anyway. Of course, Jules being the way he is, I discovered upon arriving at church that the rear right tire was flat. I noted when I bought him that Jules has a “bit of character”, and he’s definitely proving me right. Hopefully he’ll settle down soon and I can stop worrying about all the hassle that he’s causing me, what with broken wheel studs, broken AC belts, jiggly headlights, a finicky electrical system and a flat tire.
