Well, today I signed on the dotted line and got my second set of wheels inside of two months. My new freedom machine is a red 1990 Honda Civic CRX Si, and his name is Jules. He has a bit of character, but his heart seems to be in wonderful condition. He even sings to me when I get him started. Yep, me and Jules have big plans, starting with the goal of driving him for at least two weeks before I engineer his demise. Naturally, I won’t complain if our relationship extends for the entirety of the three semesters that remain of my university career, or even further, but I guess it’s good to start with the goals that are within reach and progress from there.
I’ll be disappearing for the next couple of days; should be back late late late Sunday night. If you’re good (and if I’m not too swamped with put-off homework), Monday’s updates will include the tale of the half-naked men, the bridge and the cop, tomorrow’s Blitzing activities at Kidsview, and the Sunday excursion to a wet place. See you then.
Speaking of cars, Buzz got crunched by a Mack Truck yesterday (with us inside) … we may actually have to buckle down and get a new car ourselves.
Here’s hoping your civic lasts the 24 years that Buzz did!
Congrats on the car, Dunny! May the two of you be good to each other.
