With pen poised over paper
He crafts his words with care.
A satirical rogue is what he sees
When he peers into the mirror on his desk.
His work is cruelly cutting
His victims know his words bite deep.
But his effort is expended
For the sake of drawing blood.
He cuts healthy flesh away
Exposing nothing to be made light of
Yet attempts to shine a light on dull mediocrity
Anyway.
Too bad in their writing that
His words won't bite his tongue.
